STEDMAN’S GRAND SLAM™ MODEL 3030H IMPACTOR REDUCES
PLASTIC MOLDED PARTS
AURORA,
IN -- The Grand Slam™ Model 3030H from Stedman efficiently
reduces large pieces of rejected plastic molded parts to an ideal
feed size for the granulator. After the granulator, material is
then ready to be recycled and re-melted. Originally the large pieces
of plastics were sized for the granulator by a band saw. The Model
3030H handles feed sizes up to 25” x 18” x 9”
and features an inlet opening of 15” x 31”. With a capacity
of 3-5 TPH, this Grand Slam model provides a safer method of resizing
parts and reduces the labor previously needed to cut the parts down
by hand.
The Grand Slam Series of horizontal shaft impactors uses high-chrome
metallurgy to increase the wear life of machine components, reducing
metal replacement costs. The series consists of 11 high-production
models with capacities up to 1200 TPH and feed sizes up to 16”.
The impactor design incorporates both primary and secondary aprons
for maximum product control, eliminating the need for high-maintenance
grate bars and discharge screens that often clog. The impactors’
two-stage crushing action produces more product on the first pass
with reductions ratios up to 30:1, even while handling large and
slabby feed material.
Optional air cannons and apron heaters are also available for Grand
Slam models.
As with all Stedman products, the customer is encouraged to test
each application before purchasing a Grand Slam. Stedman uses only
full-size equipment to test a wide variety of materials to ensure
customers have the best machine for the application. With a sample
of feed material, Stedman engineers will conduct an application
analysis and provide a confidential, written report of their findings
to the customer. Stedman can also produce an analysis by using one
of over 10,000 application reports on file.
Stedman, the originator of the cage mill, is the authority in providing
solutions for size reduction needs. Stedman’s full range of
equipment includes vertical and horizontal shaft impactors, cage
mills, lumpbreakers and fine grind mills.
