MICRO-MAX™ MILL
PRODUCES WIDE RANGE
OF PARTICLE SIZES
AURORA, IN
-- The Micro-Max Fine Grind Air Swept Mill, manufactured by
Stedman, is a versatile screen-less
mill capable of producing a wide range of particle sizes. Typical applications
for the Micro-Max are extremely diverse, ranging
from adhesives and asphalt to wheat germ and zinc oxide.
The
unique Micro-Max slave plate saves wear on the inlet beater plate, and
the increased air flow keeps material cooler when grinding, a significant
advantage over competitive models. By adding heat to the Micro-Max, the
mill is capable of grinding and drying in one pass. Liquid injection ports
are standard for grinding heat-sensitive materials.
The Micro-Max has
oversized air inlets and outlets to allow for greater air flows, keeping
the product cooler and increasing the mill's capacity. Beater plates can
be removed or added to change product gradations. Carbide-faced beaters
produce fine powders with a minimum of wear. An internal classifier plate
sends oversized material back through the mill to be re-ground.
Stedman,
the originator of the cage mill, is the leader in the science of size
reduction, allowing customers to test before they buy in Stedman's full-scale
test plant. Stedman's full range of equipment includes impactors, hammer
mills, cage mills, crushers and lump-breakers, and fine grinders.
